Full Details of Frimprince Music terminating contract with Diana Asamoah after 22 years
Legendary Ghanaian Gospel record label owner, Mr. Anane Frimpong and his management team have announced that they are no more in working terms with legendary Ghanaian gospel singer, Diana Asamoah.
In an official letter dated August 4, 2022, Frimprince Music Productions, the management of Evangelist Diana Asamoah, has terminated their contract with Diana Asamoah after 22 years of working together.
According to a communiqué issued by Frimprince Music Productions, which is led by Emmanuel Anane Frimpong, Evangelist Diana Asamoah continues to breach their contract, and as a result, they can no longer have a good working relationship.
The letter outlined the contract termination terms, which included the takeover of some of her social media accounts.
Diana Asamoah’s digital platforms, including her Facebook page, have been seized.
She will also lose ownership of nine of her popular songs, which were produced by her former music executive, Anane Frimpong.
‘Wo Na Mani Agyina Wo,’ ‘Mabowodin, Akoko Abon,’ ‘Madansidie,’ ‘Pentecost Gya,’ ‘Momomme,’ ‘Wo Damu Fua,’ ‘Tetelesta,’ and ‘Pentecost Soree’ are the songs.
Frimprince Music will also no longer be involved in the organization of Diana’s annual concert, dubbed ‘Abba Father.’
Diana Asamoah’s musical career began in the mid-1990s, when she met Rev. Simmon Yaw Boamah in Kumasi.
They released her debut album, “Wo na Mani Agyina wo.” That is when they met Mr. Anane Frimpong of Frimprince Music Productions, who decided to hire her.
The two have for the past decade dominated the local gospel music industry with her scintillating and soothing music.
Evangelist Diana Asamoah has so far, released 6 albums including, “Mabo wo Din”; a song dedicated to Mr. John Agyekum Kufour(President of Ghana,2002), “Pentecost Gya”; which topped the Music Charts for months, “Gospel Old Tunes 2”, “Madanse Die” and the latest one, “Pentecost Soree Nwom”; which is leading music charts in Ghana now.
Her hall of fame is replete with many laurels for reaching the pinnacle of achievements. She organized Italy’s first African worship concert. She was honoured and praised for her contributions to the gospel community in 2008.
She was recognized as the best actress in both Italy and Belgium (Best Gospel artist in Ghana in 2006 and 2008). She was the first artist to have her album released in front of High Commissioners and parliamentarians.
She is also well-known for her annual “Abba Father” concert, which features top gospel acts. The concert was a success in both 2017 and 2018. Ceccy Twum, Rev Obaapa Christy, Ohemaa Mercy, Yaw Sarpong, Winneba Youth Choir, Evangelist I.K Anning, and a slew of upcoming acts have performed at the show.
It is a yearly event held at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC). The 2018 edition attracted a massive crowd of gospel fans. The concert is also available in Kumasi.
In terms of evangelism, she was the first gospel artist to launch her own radio morning devotion (from Hello FM, Angel FM, and now Rainbow FM). She also hosts her own Prayer Conferences, where Christians come together to pray.
